This is a picture that hangs in our living room. It probably dates back to about 1900. I inherited from my late Greek grandfather, who had the picture in his living room. From the time I was about 3 years old, I loved looking at it, and would “study” it for hours.
I suppose that is one of the reasons I have always been interested in the Holy Land, a love for the region which grew because of my mentor, Larry Henderson, the late Canadian journalist, who reported extensively on the Middle East beginning in 1948 with the CBC at the beginning of the Jewish state of Israel.
